Concrete Repairs that Last

In order to permanently repair concrete, we use a process called polyjacking. Polyjacking is the process of lifting and leveling sunken and settling concrete by injecting polyurethane foam. This option is more cost-effective than replacing the concrete altogether, and still provides a lasting result. Interested in concrete repairs that last? Common Issues with Concrete

Although concrete is a durable, sturdy building material, it still has its moments. Many of the most common problems with concrete are due to soil-related issues. Concrete can shift, sink, settle, and crack if the soil beneath the concrete isn’t able to carry the weight above it. When we see a porch pulling away from the foundation, or sinking sidewalks, it’s usually because the soil below is no longer supporting these structures.

How do You Fix Concrete Problems?

In order to fix the concrete problems you’re having, we’ve got to take the soil into consideration. Some traditional concrete repair methods involve adding more weight to the already compromised soil. While this might raise and level your concrete for a few years, in the long run it can end up causing more harm than good.

As a better alternative, we use a lightweight, high-density polyurethane foam to repair and level concrete. Before we begin injecting foam underneath the concrete, we need to drill small holes in order to effectively pump the foam under the concrete.

After the holes have been drilled, we can begin injecting polyurethane foam under the concrete. As we inject the foam, it fills voids by moving and expanding beneath the concrete. Eventually, the foam will fill all of the gaps, and begin to raise the concrete. When the concrete has been raised back to its original placement, we will fill any holes drilled in the concrete for a nice, smooth finish.

This process is non-invasive, and in most cases can be completed within one day. We prefer this method over mudjacking because it is a long-term solution, not just a quick fix.
