As the temperatures vary from season to season in Kansas City and the surrounding areas, the concrete can become uneven. Also, the soil in these areas of the country is expansive soil which means that it heaves when wet and shrinks when dry. This movement of the soil beneath concrete creates voids. Some of the common areas where this occurs are:
As voids form under any areas of foundations and concrete, this causes the foundation and concrete to shift and settle into these voids. The experts at Pro Foundation Technology has the solution for filling these voids and lifting and stabilizing your foundation and concrete back to its original level.
Pro Foundation Technology uses a cost-effective and efficient concrete leveling solution to fill voids beneath your foundation and concrete. Our method is called polyjacking, which is a high-density polyurethane foam that is injected into the voids. This polyurethane foam is injected into a small 5/8″ hole that is drilled through the affected concrete. The foam expands 20 times its liquid volume and moves laterally beneath the pavement to fill the voids. This high-density polyurethane foam contours to the size and shape of the void to ensure 100% coverage.
Pro Foundation Technology uses Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to detect where the voids are and give a fast accurate location. It also locates any objects that are embedded in the concrete. This method of concrete leveling is more efficient, more economical and more accurate than other methods. It is also much less disruptive and much less expansive than replacing concrete.
Some of the other advantages of using high-density polyurethane (polyjacking) for void filling is:
